It's worth five minutes of your time before you book anything, because there are things he can do that a booking website simply can't:
He can often beat the posted rate. The online block price is the starting point, not the floor. Ask him what he can do for your room count.
Your team may qualify for extras. Depending on how many rooms you take, teams can be eligible for comp rooms for coaches and similar perks. You won't be offered them automatically — ask what your team qualifies for.
He'll keep the team together. Booking room by room online is how a squad ends up split across three properties with three different Saturday departures. Tell Vinny how many rooms you need and he'll put you under one roof.

Do we have to book through the tournament hotel block?
No. Booking through the block is strongly recommended but not required. Teams are free to book wherever they like — most book the block because the negotiated rate beats what the same hotel is charging that weekend, and because it keeps the team together.
Can we get a better rate than the one listed online?
Often, yes. Contact Vinny at Legacy Sports Travel before booking — the online price is the starting point, and depending on your room count your team may also be eligible for extras such as comp rooms for coaches.
How do we make sure the whole team stays at the same hotel?
Book through Vinny rather than room by room online. Tell him how many rooms you need and he'll hold them together at one property.
When should we book our rooms?
As soon as your team is accepted into the event. Blocks are a fixed number of rooms and South Florida rates rise as a tournament weekend gets closer.
